16MM F2.5 CARL ZEISS LUMINAR LENS:
• Excellent optic. I have read that this lens is optimized for magnification of 14x on formats from 35mm DSLR up to 4″ x 5″. It will perform well through a much wider range, especially on 35mm DSLR sensor size. Uncommon lens, excellent performance.
• Macro use only. This lens is not capable of infinity focus. This lens can be adapted to Nikon, Canon or other brands. For use with extension tubes or bellows, or with a Nikon Multiphot. For lower magnifications in the range of this lens on 35mm size sensor, a long bellows is not required.
• No adapter is included. Required for mounting to DSLR systems (RMS thread to 39mm Leica. Also requires a 39mm Leica to DSLR adapter, which are available elsewhere).
• Lens and adapter will be shipped in the original protective plastic bubble (Zeiss), with additional bubble wrap.
• Mint or very near mint throughout, including glass. No scratches, fungus, separation, or other flaws. May be some tiny dust inside which does not affect performance; this minor mount of dust exists in most lenses that I have seen. Performance well, as expected, tested at 14x on a Nikon Multiphot.
